How does Mid Cities Credit Union collect my personal information?

  • open an account or deposit money
  • pay your bills or apply for a loan
  • provide account information

We also collect your personal information from other, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Mid Cities Credit Union has no affiliates
Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Mid Cities Credit Union does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you
Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include mortgage bankers, securities broker-dealers and insurance agents

Other important information
California law provides that a consumer has the right to control the sharing of personal and financial information with outside companies with to provide financial products and services.
